If you haven't seen the movie Ocean's 8, I highly recommend you do. I was afraid it was going to be cheesy, like they were trying to make a feminist version of the original. But it was honestly amazing. I love action movies and I love fashion even more, so it was combining everything I loved in 1 hour and 51 minutes. Cate Blanchett truly stole the show with her style. The Met Gala dresses were to die for and I've been dying to know who designed them. Well I did my research, ladies and gentlemen, so let's skip to the best part.

It Suits You

Cate Blanchett can sure as hell pull off a suit. I don't know if it's the choppy blonde hair cut or the confidence she has, but she makes me want to go out and buy suits in every color. She wore the emerald green Burberry three-piece suit. It's not just a bold green suit, but it's velvet. Bold choice and a hard look to pull off but she did it and she did it well. I think the emerald green suit was one of my favorite looks on her because the color just pops with her platinum blond hair and fair skin.

She also wore a Burberry baby blue blazer and matching pants. Now try saying that five times fast. She paired it with a solid white collared dress shirt. A very conservative look can be turned edgy with the right accessories. She blinged up with pins and a bunch of necklaces, long and short. Accessorizing can be the hardest part of styling an outfit. But because of the cool hue and no compromising patterns, accessorizing heavily was the right move.

The costume designer for the cast of Ocean's 8 said that they worked with Burberry to make three-piece suits that were based on early 70s style. Cate Blanchett wore a couple of Burberry suits in the movie, but believe it or not, she wore a lot of vintage clothing. Nothing expensive, but instead whatever it took to create this cool Rock n' Roll look for her. She also wore black leather pants, with a very unique waistline, I might add. She paired it with a vintage T-shirt and a vibrant cobalt blue blazer. You can see an off-greenish tie tucked into her tee and on top of all of that she accessorized it with delicate gold necklaces. I don't know what it is, but I absolutely love the color scheme in this outfit.

Onto the next outfit. Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock are wearing two great outfits, however, they are total opposites and apparently the costume designer did this for a reason. Sandra Bullock's character, Debbie Ocean, has a very still and calm way about her. They wanted to use her style to portray her character by using solid colors with clean cut lines. Cate Blanchett's character, Lou, is the total opposite and you know what they say. Opposites attract. Cate Blanchett is wearing her velvet emerald Burberry suit underneath a long cheetah coat. I thought cheetah was out, but please excuse me, while I go out and buy one right now. The maroon scarf really tied this whole look together. Pun intended.

Too Haute

Sandra Bullock wore a jaw-dropping gold embellished black dress, designed by Alberta Ferretti. I am so in love with this dress. The way the back of the dress slopes down across her back is gorgeous and very unusual. Wearing a dress like that, she was bound to blend in with all the other celebrities wearing haute couture.

Sarah Paulson wore a long sleeved embellished black gown, designed by Prada. This dress was simple yet exquisite. This dress does not need a single accessory. The dress is a statement on its own and Sarah Paulson is working it.

My girl, Rihanna, was a bit of a tomboy throughout the movie so her walking down the stairs at the Met Gala in this red number was mesmerizing to say the least. This is a bold statement, but there is not a single color Rihanna can't pull off. I stand by that. Red has never looked so good. She is wearing an off-the-shoulder red gown, designed by Zac Posen, who also starred in the movie. I hate to fan girl but seeing all of my favorite designers and celebrities in the movie was so exciting. Here's a little fun fact for you. The iconic Anna Wintour, was in the movie and according to the costume designer, Anna didn't want to be styled. Anna wore her own pieces, because no one styles Anna. Be as confident as Anna Wintour, ladies.

Helena Bonham Carter looked like a million bucks. She wore a strapless Dolce & Gabbana gown from the Dolce & Gabbana's couture collection, Alta Moda. This was a classic Dolce & Gabbana dress. Their brand image is so strong, I think anyone would've known it's D&G Haute Couture. The flowers stitched all over the dress, the round sunnies, and the floral headpiece? It looks like she just stepped off the runway at a Dolce & Gabbana show.

Cate Blanchett stuck to her aesthetic, even attending the Met Gala. She wore an emerald green jumpsuit, designed by Givenchy. This piece is actually very special because it's an archival piece from the French design house Givenchy.

Anne Hathaway, not pictured, wore a gorgeous pink Valentino dress with, of course, the famous necklace.
